Jengu Sports in a concept bespoke wetsuit brand. The idea was to create a modern brand that combines the feel of a craft beer brewery with soul surf lifestyle. To do this the brand identity focuses on a handmade feel. The logo and icons are hand drawn, the photography focuses on craft tools, empty waves and solo surfers. I designed the logo in Adobe Illustrator. I also curated and customized the icons, graphics and images to create the brand aesthetics of Jengu Sports. All design assets are compiled into a Brand Style Guide visible in the second to last frame presented on this page. The Brand Style Guide will help to maintain a consistent visual experience for the Jengu Sports brand.
This is a T-Shirt design I created. It’s inspired by a few things that I love. Within this design it incorporates, Mountains, Waves, and Vans. This surreal scene depicts my ideal campsite. I’d like to be able to pull up with a camper-van at the base of some mountains and have prefect peeling right hand waves.

Smoke Company is a Lifestyle Branding concept. It’s what would happen if a Prerolled Joint Company positioned itself as an Active Lifestyle Brand. This portfolio piece features a Brand Identity System applied to a package design and two branded photos. The Brand Identity System includes a Logo, Colors, Fonts, and a Branding Pattern. I applied the brand Identity System to a Package Design. I also used the Brand Pattern as a visual element to help brand photos. The idea behind the brand pattern is that it is a purple smoke . The smoke can be used in curated photography to create a visual connection to the brand. It is used here to show smoke hovering around people in this example. These photos could be used as a social media strategy or an advertising campaign.
Client: Zum Wax
Work: Logo, Packaging Design
Seattle-based Ski and Snowboard Wax Lifestyle Brand, Zum Wax, spawned out of passion for snow. Zum Wax needed a compelling new look in order to compete in an established and saturated ski wax market. Zum Wax came to me with the idea to attract a young, outgoing and adventurous demographic by engaging them on the slopes and catering to their online habits. We created brand narrative, a new logo, and new package design. We designed the logo to be intriguing, by using a bright set of colors and a bold versatile design. At first glance the logo is two brightly colored arrows depicting speed and movement. For the more intrepid viewer and avid Zum Wax user there is a second level of depth by including a "Z" in the negative space between the two arrows.

Samsara is the brain child of a group of successful digital nomads. With the ever growing expansion of high speed internet, the traditional idea of an office space has changed forever. The idea of creating co-working and co-living spaces isn't a new one, but the idea of creating that in a location with a tropical climate, next bath water temperature ocean. is. Samara is a Sanskrit word that represent the endless cycle of life. The logo incorporates the Zen practice of stacking rocks with the western practice of stacking rocks. In the east stacking rocks is meant to calm the mind. In the west a stack of rocks is how to mark a trail. So the logo embodies both of those meanings into a contemporary design.
Client: Uku Ukulele
Work: Logo, Illustration
Uku Ukuleles is an awesome new lifestyle brand! Their mantra is “Spread Happiness. Grab a Ukulele.” This is a brand I can get behind for sure. As a musician and designer myself, it’s great to work with other people who recognize the potential of both good design and music. The founder of Uku reached out to me after a thorough internet search for a designer with the appropriate skill set. Working together through a creative process, coupled with extensive searches for Hawaiian inspired art, I designed the Uku logo as well as a few designs for their flagship Ukuleles. The application of the art was done with laser etching. In the design process I took this into consideration and designed everything in a monotone style so it could be burned in effectively and still look sweet.
Work: Logo, Branded Jet Design
I was approached by the founder of Sexy Brand™ to help create the look of a new Charter Jet and New Brand Identity. We started with the logo for SexyJet™ which is based on a previous logo that I created for Sexy Brand™. It features the “S” of the SexyBrand™ logo with some modern aviation inspired wings surrounding it. After I created a relatively strait forward identity system, to match the logo, we set out on the real adventure of designing the look of the plane. We had a Tech Spec reference with a company that was well verse in the actual painting of planes. So all technical questions I bounced off of them. The founder wanted draw inspiration from luxury sports cars for the paint scheme of the plane. We wanted to create something people had never seen before. We used the curves of a sports car to inspire the graphics and we went with a Chameleon Green based paint job, something somewhat popular, but still impressive in the luxury sports card world. The plane actually shifts colors as it flies by. Despite the ever changing paint that covers %75 of the plane, we still managed to maintain brand constancy by tying it all back together with the Sexy Jet™ colors of black, red and white, as well as a Sexy Brand™ pattern of hexagonal shapes tucked into the curves of the paint job just above the wings. Overall the design came out really awesome and it was a great experience to help design.
